Who can resist a good cuppa and take a picture of one ? resistless ! So , as I sat enjoy a hushed cupful of coffee this cockcrow , I realized I wanted my video of coffee to help make a statement too … at least that ’s what I set out to do in this picture .
I used my trusted Canon Rebel T1i with a Canon EFS 15 - 85 mm lense , an exposure of 1/40 sec and F - stop of 5.6 . I tried charter it with Aperture anteriority , but rapidly recognise that I ’d have to use the Manual mode to achieve what I need . I shot in Monochrome and adjusted for exposure and midtones in Photoshop .

Dark burnt umber was my theme but I wanted to have a small fun with it . It was a challenge not losing my light to the dark side . I end up wrapping it in plastic and tap it to the bottom of the cup . I used actual java to ensure the grain and heaviness was correct in the stream . A footling credit card melted but the visible radiation survived .

I used a Sony alpha 6000 with 35 mm f1.8 prime lens and remote cable television sack . High power LED woolly mullein in a soft box seat for ignition . configurations : Manual musical mode , manual blanched symmetry , f4.5 , ISO250 and a shutter of 1/125 .

This photo was taken right after my girlfriend had the first sip of her White Macadamia Nut Latte ( which she go down in erotic love with btw ) . I was struck by the demarcation of the red lip rouge with the loving cup and the fleshly timbre it set off . I have name the video “ Coffee and Kisses ” since they seem to fit perfectly with each other and , if had together , will make anyone ’s morning fantastic ! The Smell
coffee berry for me is a smell , and it is difficult to catch a smell in a ikon . If I close my eyes and think about coffee berry smell however , a scene comes to me mind : a coffee shop . I do n’t do it what it is about this picture that simply calls for sniffing a few times ( looking for the smell of coffee ) each time I look at it . This is perhaps the reason I go for this one for the competition although perhaps it is not the best .
