situate 176 light - years from Earth in the configuration Hydra , TW Hyrdae is the closest wiz system to us that is still developing into a full - fledged solar system of rules . University of Michigan investigator Ted Bergin explains :
“ This tells us that the cardinal materials that lifetime needs are present in a system before planets are born . We expected this to be the pillowcase , but now we know it is because have directly observe it . We can see it . ”
And fellow researcher Michiel Hogerheijde of Leiden University in the Netherlands add :
“ The detection of water stick to dust grain throughout the planet - forming disk would be like to events in our own solar organisation ’s evolution , where over millions of year , these rubble grains would then coalesce to form comet . These would be a prime delivery mechanism for piddle on planetary body . ”
