Ali Wong might have had the most standout dress on the entire2024 SAG Awardsred carpet — and the one that’s the most difficult to use the bathroom in.
TheBeefactress wore a black and white laser-cut Iris Van Herpen Couture dress that looked like it was alive. The slim-fitting column gown had tentacle-like attachments around the shoulders and bodice that surrounded her with diamond shapes, and she told Laverne Cox on E!’s preshow that she actually had to be escorted to the Shrine Auditorium in a sprinter van because of the size of her look.
“You know you made it when you have to take a sprinter van!” she said jokingly.

Platforms are a go-to for Wong on the red carpet because of her height, andshe rocked them for the Emmy Awardsa few weeks ago despite being injured.
“I’m nursing a knee injury,” Wong told E! host Heather McMahan after showing off her custom Louis Vuitton gown. She then lifted up her skirt slightly to show off her black Brandon Blackwood platform heels. “I had to wear, like, heel platforms. These add about five inches. They’re insane.”

For the award show, she wore a custom Louis Vuitton dress that was covered in silver beading on the bodice and a burst of colorful beaded flowers on the skirt.
She accessorized the gown with Chopard jewels including earrings with 36.44-carats of diamonds and a ring with 10.76-carats of diamonds.
