During filming , Fillion go to Gunn with a concern that they were make a funny movie ask , “ Is this pop off to be scary ? Because we keep making it amusing . ” Gunn assured him that they were making a singular moving-picture show … but not a comedy .
In an interview Gunn elaborates on this , enjoin : “ It ’s a balancing act . When all the naked Ithiel Town folk are join the naked blob at the end , Bill deadpans , “ Now that is some fucked up shit . ” This line was made up by Gunn seconds before the actor pronounce it .
