So I almost missed this grab on DAPreview ( because there was no pretty picture and I can scarcely decipher ) , but apparently Archos is come out with a new version of their often- and unhappily - dominate Gmini hard disc player , now call the Gmini 400 . The original Gmini [ pictured ] was a solid twist , but had only a black - and - white screen – something that just did n’t quite cut the mustard greens for many people who would have otherwise purchased it as a photo - put in gimmick . Fortunately , it look like the novel model will have a colour screen ( a decent 262k color one , too ) , as well as do all the other good stuff like play telecasting , MP3s , immortalize its FM stereo , and of class , copy images from Compact Flash cards to its intimate 20 GB hard effort .
And at around $ 480 ( probably less when / if it hits the United States ) , it ’s not a frightful price , either . I gestate good affair from this one – it set all the failings of the first Gmini by a yard .
