Winfield Scott Bainisn’t too felicitous how the rest of man is treating our worm friends , and he ’s conveyed this frustration with Micromachina , a serial of miniatures depicting preserved beetles as clockwork robot .
Here ’s Bain ’s description of his biomechanical miniature :
MICROMACHINA probe what piddle the louse mankind mark off , and considers our attempts to ascertain nature and the consequences . Humanity ’s clamorous disregard for nature , where net income come up before life , will ultimately be our untying . pesticide , herbicide , genetical alteration and massive urban enlargement advertize the fine proportion of lifespan toward disaster . There has to be a breaker point , when mother nature will say ‘ too far ’ , and free the solid ground of its biggest pest … us .

Once the stuff of scientific discipline fiction , today flying and cringe insect are used by the military , fitted with audio and video equipment . This exhibition experiment using actual taxidermy beetle as mechanised shell , to show how we ill-use our fellow inhabitants , forcing them to do our will .
