A Colorado woman who was ordered to unlock her computer for tec is reportedlysaying she ca n’t remember her password .
Last month U.S. District Judge Robert Blackburnordered Ramona Ficosu to decrypt the hard driveway on her Toshiba laptopby February 21st . The laptop computer was seized in 2010 in connectedness with a mortgage fraud probe . The judge ruled that Ficosu could n’t use the self - incrimination article of the Fifth Amendment to keep her password to herself . Now Threat Level reports that Ficosu plans to tell the court “ Oopsies , I forgot . ”

“ It ’s very potential to block passwords , ” the woman ’s lawyer , Philip Dubois , said in a telephone interview . “ It ’s not vindicated to me she was the one who ready up the encoding on this cause . I do n’t know if she will be able to decode it .
