Biometric equipment and personal electronics have increasingly become intertwined over the years , but few have merged the two ideas as seamlessly asthese earphone , which can also measure out your heart rate .
The headphones are part of a collaborationism between theEuropean Space Agencyand Swiss technical school society CSEM . Using existing ESA technology , the two company worked together to give rise the Pulsar headphones . When placed in your ear , the wraparound mechanism on the phone sends an infrared sign through your pinna tissue / gristle , which then reads your heartrate and sends the info back to the plate equipment .
This particular epitome is crop with an iPhone that has a peculiar passthrough adapter plug into the headphone jack , and a tradition app for visualizing the datum . Future iterations of the technology could also provide more detailed information , such as oxygen level in the body .
