In this 1920s novel , a scientist saves his young son ’s lifetime by transplant shark gills onto his little body . Of course , now the child spends most of his days in purdah underwater . But all that changes when he fall in love . The novel was made into a flick in the 60s , but this fresh adjustment will go back to the original source textile . [ The Hollywood newsman ]
