Before becoming a major holidaymaker red-hot spot , Glass Beach bore a markedly different deed : town wasteyard . Up until 1967 , when the North Coast Water Quality Board finally realise the electronegative impingement dumping had on the ocean , it was common for surrounding towns to thresh about all of their trash into the sea .
