Foxx’s outing comes more than six months after his April medical emergency. One month later, the actor’s daughterCorinne Foxxgave an update saying her dadhad “been out of the hospital for weeks, recuperating,” and was even playing pickleball the previous day.
Since then, theBurialstar has been spotted multiple times engaging in the sport (includingwith YouTuber David Dobrik!) and out and about in Chicago, Los Angeles and more.
More recently, on Oct. 17, Foxx and Huckstepp were spotted alongside a friend in Los Angeles' Westlake neighborhood,picking up some KFC takeout.

Though she has not stepped out with Foxx at any public events, Huckstepp attended the world premiere of hisNetflixfilmDay Shiftin August 2022, where she was photographed on thered carpet(though not with the actor).
A source told PEOPLE in September that Foxx “is doing fantastic” aftersuffering the medical emergencyearlier this year, and added that Huckstepp is a good match for him.
“Alyceis a total sweetheart,” the latter insider said, also noting that Huckstepp “is Australian but has been in the U.S. for a while.”
