Josh Brolinmightreprise his villainous role in theDeadpoolfranchise later this year.
The actor, 56, teased as much in an interview withColliderwhilepromoting his latest film,Dune:Part Two.
So, the outcome of his status in the project is still very much unknown.
Brolin played Cable inDeadpool 2, which foundRyan Reynolds' Wade Wilson calling together a group of mutant rogues to protect a young boy with mutant powers from the time-traveling cyborg.

Little is known about the plot of the film, but it follows Wolverine, who is “recovering from his injuries when he crosses paths with the loudmouth, Deadpool,” per the official synopsis. Eventually, the pair will “team up to defeat a common enemy.”
Jackman remained tight-lipped about the movie’s plot in a 2022 PEOPLE interview. “I’ll probably have more fun on this movie than any other I’ve ever done,” he said at the time.
“I think being on set with [Ryan] every day and those two on film in every city together everyday … I think it’s fair to saythey’ll be punching the s— out of eachother the whole time,” he added.
The first trailer of the film premiered during the2024 Super Bowl.
Deadpool & Wolverinehits theaters on July 26.
