After documentingJeffrey Dahmer’s murderswithMonster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, the anthology series is set to explore the Menéndez brothers’ crimes in the upcoming second installment.
Playing the infamous brothers who were convicted in 1996 ofmurdering their parentsare newcomers Nicholas Alexander Chavez and Cooper Koch, who will star as Lyle and Erik Menéndez, respectively.
The first season ofMonsterbecameone of Netflix’s most-streamed series ever— with 1 billion hours watched in only 60 days. Peters took home anoutstanding actor Golden Globeaward for his performance in the dark drama.
While the series made headlines for its ratings, it also received negative attention when viewers slammed director Murphy and Netflix for dramatizing the story despite some backlash from the families of Dahmer’s victims. Murphy later statedhe’d reached out to living victimsof Dahmer and received no response.
