On Monday , YouTube user Ken Roberts uploaded a TV titled “ UFO Crashing Releases Orb Over Southern California . Anyone Else See It ? ” He exact that he was driving home from study when he insure this mysterious visible radiation in the sky , and pulled over to the side of the road to film it . A few seconds into the TV a bright chunk appears to jettison off of the main body and blaze aside in the opposite direction . He claims it then go up into the sky and completely vanish , though that part was n’t captured on film . He report that he did n’t learn any explosions associated with the event .
Check out the video here ( the video stops 40 moment in , so there ’s no motivation to keep watch after the pic go black ):
After this video was released , there were a number of explanation postulated to explain this event . These included meteoroid associated with the Quadrantids meteor rain shower , a fall orbiter , or experimental government hardware .
However , the fireball shown in the television does n’t behave in a manner to be expected from any of those thing . meteor typically move much more cursorily than this aim . While it is coarse for meteors to fall apart as they burn in the standard atmosphere , it would be extremely odd for a unmarried art object to break off and then completely alter direction like that . Even if this was a planet or something that explode in the atmosphere , you would n’t see one single piece acting in that manner .
In my opinion , the best explanation is that the video was faked . ( Someone lie in on the internet ? No mode ! )
To reply the question in Mr. Roberts ’ video title of respect , the solution is : no . It does n’t appear that anyone else saw it . There are n’t anypending reportsof fireball sighting with the American Meteor Society , and no other eyewitnesses . With 22 million people living in SoCal , it seems odd that not a single one of them also noticed such a spectacle .
to boot , he did n’t in reality render any relevant data . “ Southern California ” is a fairly big stead , and this does n’t give more detail about where he was , what direction he was facing , the date , or time of day this was take .
The YouTube account was also created on the same day the TV was uploaded . However , the UFO television was n’t upload untilafterhe posted a picture of seagulls from a head trip to New York and watched a crowd of summercater videos , which seems like an extremely curious option of precedency .
